One donation. Three promises.
Documented milestones. Supporter Pool. Impact record. Explained step by step.
Request whitepaperThe lifecycle of a donation
You choose a project
You donate in EUR — processed securely, no technical jargon
Your donation goes to the project
You receive your digital donation receipt immediately
The project documents a milestone
ChaCha records the milestone
The organisation has confirmed the impact — your receipt now shows the impact record
While your donation flows, the Supporter Pool covers network costs — you never come into contact with them.
Every euro reaches the project.
We say 100% — and we mean 100% for you. No processing fee, no administration charge, no hidden deductions — nothing that reduces your donation. The platform costs are covered by the Supporter Pool.
Impact projects are built around documented milestones: the project confirms what it has achieved, and we record the evidence. Today your donation still goes directly to the NGO. We are preparing to hold impact-project funds until a milestone is documented.
- Milestones per project — every record is documented
- Release of funds after a documented milestone — In preparation
- Unique attribution — every donation is traceable
Your donation receipt — and it evolves.
As soon as your donation flows, you receive a digital donation receipt: unique, permanent and tamper-proof — anchored immutably in our audit-proof ledger, with blockchain security added once we're live.
Unlike a conventional receipt, yours is alive. When the project reaches a milestone, your receipt is automatically updated with this information. You see what happens with your donation — from receipt to impact.
- Date and amount
- Project and nonprofit organisation
- Unique receipt number
- Milestone status
You too can carry the platform.
For 100% of your donation to arrive, network and platform costs need to come from elsewhere. That is what the Supporter Pool is for — fed by three sources:
All contributions are publicly recorded — you can see who contributes, how much, and for what.
- Supporters who carry the platform monthly — and see what their contributions enable
- Companies fund through premium subscriptions
- Public funding supplements where available — all publicly recorded
Donations that arrive — and make an impact.
A donation is more than a flow of money. It is a promise: that something concrete happens. With the impact record, we make that promise redeemable.
As soon as the nonprofit documents a milestone — with a photo, report, or receipt — we record the evidence and add it to your donation certificate. Where available, we automatically read geo-data (EXIF) from images — so every impact can be located spatially.
"5 wells built" — with geo-coordinates and date
"120 children educated" — with half-year report
"2 tonnes of plastic from the ocean" — with photo documentation
For companies: impact records as data foundation for ESG/CSR reports

Frequently asked questions
- Do I need technical knowledge?
- No. The technology runs in the background. You use ChaCha like any normal website.
- Which organisations does ChaCha admit?
- Nonprofits that submit their tax-exemption certificate. We look at the document, admit the organisation and record its date of issue and validity. For Austria and Switzerland we clarify admission case by case.
- What happens if a milestone is not reached?
- We are defining these rules now and will publish them here once they are final.
- Do I get a donation receipt?
- After every donation you get a donation receipt as a PDF, with your address on request. It is not a formal donation confirmation (Zuwendungsbestätigung). You also get the Digital Donation Receipt: a record of your donation, without your name.
- How does the donation receipt differ from the impact record?
- The donation receipt records that your donation has been received. The impact record documents what the organisation has confirmed and evidenced as the project’s result.
- Can I donate anonymously?
- Yes, up to a legal threshold. Above certain amounts, anti-money-laundering law may require identification.
- Where can I see what happens with my donation?
- In your Donation Account, at any time. Plus updates by newsletter, if you wish.
- Is ChaCha's code publicly viewable?
- Not yet in full. APIs and SDKs for partners and developers are available; we are opening the platform itself step by step.
