You set up your CSR programme — budget, values filter, matching rules, employee participation.
Your employees discover projects and donate — they see before every donation whether and how you match (including any caps).
You match your employees' donations — automated according to your rules; employees see the match transparently.
Impact is documented and uniquely attributed — impact records flow directly into your data: one record per impact, per reporting period, without double-counting.

Duration: We expect eight to twelve weeks. If your project needs more or less time, we follow it.

The information in the record comes from the organisation. In this phase ChaCha takes no money and does not verify the information itself.

What ChaCha does — and what it does not.

ChaCha supports companies and NGOs in the structured capture, traceability, and preparation of impact and fund-use data for ESG, CSR, and sustainability-related reports.

We provide structured data points — you retain reporting ownership. We do not make you CSRD-compliant: reporting responsibility remains with you and your auditors. But we provide the data that is compatible with CSRD/ESRS-relevant topics.

Hosting and data protection
Our servers are in Germany. For e-mail delivery and payment processing we use service providers with a US connection; details in the privacy policy.
Unique impact attribution — recorded in the register
Each impact record is attributed to exactly one donation and one reporting period; ChaCha records the attribution so the same impact does not appear in two reports.
Matching conditions transparent to the NPO
The receiving organisation sees under what conditions the match was made.
Contract lifecycle with grace period
90 days transition after contract end, then we keep receipts and booking data for the statutory periods (up to 10 years).
Political parties excluded as recipients
Even when tax-exempt. ChaCha only admits organisations that have submitted a tax-exemption certificate; you can additionally set your own values filters.

Auditor access: You can grant your auditors read access to your pilot reporting — on request, with clearly defined rights and an audit trail.

What does ChaCha cost us?: Free during the pilot, for you and for the organisation. We talk about later terms with you before they apply.
How does ChaCha relate to CSRD and ESRS?: ChaCha supports you in the structured capture, traceability, and preparation of impact and fund-use data — a data foundation you can incorporate into your ESG, CSR, and sustainability reports. We do not make you CSRD-compliant — reporting responsibility remains with you and your auditors. But we provide data compatible with CSRD/ESRS-relevant topics: especially S (Social) and G (Governance), and E where relevant.
Which recipient organisations are possible — and which are not?: Nonprofits with a tax-exemption certificate (DE Freistellungsbescheid). For Austria and Switzerland we clarify admission case by case. Political parties are excluded — even when tax-exempt.
Can our employees see whether their donation will be matched?: Yes. Before donating they see whether a match is active and how much (including any caps). After donating they see what impact resulted.
How do you prevent the same impact appearing in two reports?: Every impact record is attributed to exactly one donation and one reporting period, and ChaCha records that attribution in the register. You can show it to your auditor.
What happens to our data when the contract ends?: 90-day transition period for an orderly handover. Then we keep receipts and booking data for the statutory periods (up to 10 years; § 147 AO, § 257 HGB). Employee data is deleted according to GDPR requirements.
Can we integrate this into our existing systems?: Premium features include API integration. Which systems are integrated at pilot launch we clarify individually — pilot partners shape the roadmap.
Can our auditors access the data directly?: Yes, on request. You can grant your auditors read access to your pilot reporting — with clearly defined rights and a traceable audit trail. Every receipt is recorded in our tamper-evident ledger; once we're live, it is additionally secured on the blockchain and can then also be checked independently of us.
