Pilot phase: enquiries for organisations and partners

Three levels of transparency.

So you do not have to trust — you can check.

Three levels, three views — all checkable for you.

Every donation connects three levels of transparency: what happens with your donation, what impact comes from it, and how the platform behind it works. We show each of these levels openly — with concrete proofs, public registers and traceable processes.

Donation level

You see what happens with your donation.

Impact level

You see what impact your donation creates.

Platform level

You see how the platform itself is funded and checked.

Ebene 1 — Spende-Transparenz

What happens with your donation.

As soon as you donate, you receive a digital donation receipt — unique, durable and tamper-proof: anchored immutably in our audit-proof ledger, with blockchain security added once we're live. It shows what was donated, to whom, and what status the project is in. In the public donation register, you can trace every donation — anonymized, aggregated, or for your own donation with all details visible to you.

Proof-of-Donation

More about the Digital Donation Receipt

  • Date, amount, recipient NGO, project
  • Donation status
  • Unique reference number to verify it
  • Milestone status

Öffentliches Spenden-Register

Mockup: Digital Donation Receipt and public register entry.

Privacy by default. Transparency by choice.

By default, your donation appears in the public register as an amount range with a day and a reference number — never with your name. We show the exact amount only if you expressly agree for that donation, and you can object to the display at any time.

Ebene 2 — Wirkungs-Transparenz

What your donation achieves — when the project delivers.

When a project completes a milestone, the proof goes to everyone who donated. Step by step, the Digital Donation Receipt becomes an impact certificate — the Proof-of-Impact.

Proof-of-Impact-Verifizierung

  1. NGO documents with photo, report and invoice
  2. ChaCha checks plausibility and uniqueness (no double-counting)
  3. For impact projects: every impact belongs to exactly one donation and one reporting period
  4. Geo data from images (EXIF) locates impact spatially — if the NGO consents to its use

Impact projects

With documented milestones and full impact proof. Highest transparency level: 100% pass-through + PoI.

Classic donation projects

Without structured milestones — for example emergency aid or general program support. The donation is traceable (PoD), but there is no automated impact proof. These projects are clearly marked on the platform — you see at a glance what transparency level to expect.

Geo-EXIF nur mit Zustimmung

Geo data from images (EXIF) locates impact spatially — if the NGO consents to its use

Ebene 3 — Plattform-Transparenz

Who carries the platform — publicly visible.

ChaCha itself also costs money — hosting, development, verification, network and transaction effort. We make these costs and their sources as transparent as the donations themselves.

Transparency Dashboard — Preview
Preview of the public Transparency Dashboard

Everything at a glance — the Transparency Dashboard.

We do not spread transparency across clicks. In the Transparency Dashboard, you see all three levels on one page: current donations, impact proofs, use of funds, platform costs — live, anonymized, complete. Public, without login — for donors, auditors, journalists and researchers.

  • Live feed of the latest donations (anonymized)
  • Current impact proofs per project
  • Supporter Pool — balance, inflows, use
  • NGO directory with verification status
  • Geographic impact map (where available)

During pre-launch, we show the dashboard with example data. Once we are live, it becomes the actual current state.

Transparency is not a feature. It starts with us.

We are building ChaCha publicly — and we make that visible. Here is what you can already inspect today:

  2. Open APIs and SDKs

Governance & verification.

01

Today

ChaCha documents decisions, rules and changes in a publicly traceable way.

02

Mid-term

Independent auditors complement internal review and examine data quality, processes and registers.

03

Long-term

Collective governance structurally includes the community, NGOs, supporters and independent reviewers.

FAQ

Who has access to my donation data?
You do — through your donation account. In the public register every donation appears as an amount range with a day and a reference number, never with a name. We show the exact amount only with your consent, and you can object to the display at any time.
Who checks the NGOs on the platform?
ChaCha — before onboarding with exemption certificate and core data, then continuously through impact proofs and plausibility checks. Mid-term, independent auditors will complement this.
What is visible in the public register — and what is not?
Visible: donations as an amount range with a day and a reference number (without names), recipient NGO, project, milestone status and impact proofs. Not visible: names and personal data of donors. We show the exact amount only with your consent; you can object at any time.
How does ChaCha make sure impact proofs are real?
Through plausibility checks, spot checks and unique assignment per reporting period (no double-counting). Mid-term, we will add independent verification.
Do I get a donation receipt?
After every donation you get a donation receipt as a PDF, with your address on request. It is not a formal donation confirmation (Zuwendungsbestätigung). You also get the Digital Donation Receipt: proof of your donation, without your name.
Who controls ChaCha itself?
Today, ChaCha controls the platform itself and makes decisions traceable in the public register. Mid-term, independent auditors will complement this. Long-term, collective governance follows.
What data does ChaCha share with third parties?
Only to service providers who work on our behalf (e.g. payment, e-mail delivery), if we are legally obliged to, or if you consent. Details are in our privacy policy.
Is your data independently audited?
Not yet. External auditing is part of our roadmap — we are preparing that step.
Where do I find technical details — APIs, developer docs, code?
In the Developer Portal. APIs and SDKs are documented; we are opening platform code step by step. Anyone who wants to help build is invited.
What about ITZ, DZI or donation quality seals?
We are checking whether we can apply for inclusion in the Initiative Transparente Zivilgesellschaft (ITZ) — part of our roadmap.
